I used what I have from the archive to repaint my grandfather’s land. These paintings documented the land of my grandfather which is disappeared during sectarianism war in Iraq, from one perspective I made these paintings through the historical imagery of google maps, because I'm not able to visit this village again. We can see the changes on the grass and the trees on this land with the worms of my uncle. I left a blank spaces, not the white of the canvas, but the blank of the papers from the prison and the forced confession by my uncle with his signature at the court. One of these confession that I showed in the last painting with the signatures of the court and the translation of the US military, my uncle wrote in one of theses papers "Plant growth is suppressed for one year while the body of the victim is decomposed. There is heavy growth after three years of placing the body on the soil. This indicates that there is time for the peak to adapt the soil and great benefit to the trees. So I have killed a lot of kidnapped, I took them from the highway”
